Protect Your Business as Your Team Grows
As your team grows, your employment documents need to grow with you. Outdated agreements, missing protections, inconsistent policies and worker classification issues can create unnecessary risk - especially as you hire across states, add contractors or prepare for fundraising, M&A or continued growth.
Meyer Law's Employment + HR Risk Assessment gives you an attorney-led review of three of the most important documents supporting your workforce: your Employment Agreement or Employee Offer Letter and Non-Disclosure Agreement, Independent Contractor Agreement and Employee Handbook.
We'll identify potential gaps, outdated provisions and areas of risk and give you practical, prioritized recommendations for strengthening your employment legal foundation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the assessment include revising our documents?
No. This package focuses on identifying potential issues and providing recommendations. If your Employment Agreement or Employee Offer Letter and NDA, Contractor Agreement or Employee Handbook should be revised or replaced, Meyer Law can separately scope that work for you.
What if we don't have one of the three documents?
That's useful information too. We'll identify missing documentation as part of the assessment and can recommend what should be put in place. The package price does not include drafting a replacement document.
Does this include an analysis of employee versus independent contractor classification?
We'll identify potential classification concerns that become apparent based on the information and documents provided. A detailed classification analysis involving specific workers, jurisdictions or factual circumstances may require additional work.
What if we have employees in multiple states?
We'll consider material state-specific issues based on the employee locations you identify. Companies with employees across numerous jurisdictions or requiring extensive state-by-state analysis may require additional review beyond the standard package.
Can we send multiple versions of our Employment or Contractor Agreements?
The package is designed to review one standard Employment Agreement or Employee Offer Letter and NDA, one standard Independent Contractor Agreement and one Employee Handbook. Additional versions or documents can be reviewed separately.
Does this include active employee disputes or claims?
No. Existing or threatened claims, investigations, terminations and other active employment matters require separate legal analysis and are outside the scope of this assessment.
What happens if the review requires more than five hours?
We'll prioritize the three included documents within the available review time. If additional review is appropriate, we'll let you know before performing work that would result in additional fees.
How long does it take?
Most assessments are completed within 1–3 weeks after the initial consultation and receipt of the documents and information we need.
